O
ne advantage of being a Hunter Valley resident, Australia, is having the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful and beautiful sights - let alone the utmost palatable wines of Australia (the World even).  So, off I go early this morning to walk the dog (Duke), and enjoy the sights.
And 'off I go' is where it stops.  The only site before me is a thick, smothering blanket of coal dust; dark grey cloud, impending cerement, death skulking dust chocking the Hunter Valley and it's habitants - including me and Duke.
Muswellbrook, where these photographs were taken, is surrounded by countless open-cut coalmines - the result; well, see for yourself . . .

    Author

Born in the South of France (Aix en Provence) I found myself residing in Australia at the age of eight; as my family migrated in 1971.
Although my trade is ‘ceramic wall and floor tiler’, I now enjoy performing Paramedical duties in my ‘newly’ found career - since 1995 (not that new I guess).
I love poetry and short stories (short attention span . . . lol). I first started to write in the mid eighties, and am looking forward to publishing all my work (at least most of it), and hope readers enjoy my style as much as I love immersing myself in the work of others.
Feel free to contact me; I love all feedback - or just a chat.
